Fall Friday Nights (FFN)

Fall Friday Nights (FFN) program will be implemented weekly on Fridays at 8 recreation centers from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm, beginning Friday, September 21 through Friday, November 9.  The program will be similar to Summer Night Lights and will continue to focus on violence reduction in the months after students return to school.
The Fall Friday Nights program will offer free community programming, light meals and focused programming for teens and young adults in the area of healthy relationships, workforce development, educational workshops, arts and crafts, culinary arts and limited recreational and sports activities.
The GRYD Foundation is proud to partner with the City of Los Angeles in our shared vision of creating a safe, strong, healthy Los Angeles.  As with Summer Night Lights, the Fall Friday Nights program will also provide opportunities for young people to become employed in the local community; 16 staff members and 16 Community Intervention Workers (CIWs) (2 at each site) along with Recreation & Parks staff will all work together to support the Mayor’s vision of making Los Angeles the safest big city in the nation.
